3D Photo Capture Instructions
Follow these steps to capture high-quality photos for 3D modeling
1. Prep the Environment
Lighting:
Use natural daylight or bright white LED lighting. Avoid shadows or dark rooms.
Background:
Use a plain, neutral background (white table or solid color backdrop).
Surface:
Place the food item on a flat surface that allows all-around movement.
2. Camera Settings
Rotate your phone to landscape mode
for larger camera exposure and better quality.
Use
Close-Up
or
Flower Mode
(🌸 icon) to focus on fine details.
Ensure autofocus is turned on, but give the camera a second to focus before each shot.
Auto Mode:
Enable automatic shutter to capture photos when you change position around the item.
3. Photo Angles (25 Total)
Eye Level Circle (12 photos):
Move around the item in a full circle, taking photos every 30°
45° Down Circle (8 photos):
Repeat at a 45-degree downward angle, every 45°
Top Down (5 photos):
Directly above from center and four cardinal directions
4. File Delivery
After capturing all 25 photos, name the food item
Download the ZIP file containing all organized photos
Upload to your shared folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
